Giving in Realm

We have managed to make giving easier!   Vanco is now merged with Realm and there are so many positives, and one negative.  So I will start with the negative.  If you currently have recurring giving set up in Vanco you are going to have to set it up again in Realm. Sorry! But there is a good reason for that. Vanco will not allow us to download and transfer your credit card information.  On November 10th we will use Tech Sunday to hold a workshop that will teach you how to set-up your recurring payments.  If you want to set them up on your own before then, awesome! But feel free to wait until 11/10 @ noon in the Library and we will be happy to help.  The positives are how easy it is to give.  Go to your Realm App Select Giving  At the top you will see Gifts /Pledges  Select Gifts From there you can chose the Fund you would like to donate to from the dropdown.  You can make your gift one time or recurring.  Please reach ou...

Tech Sundays

A couple weeks ago there was a Realm teaching session as part of the Inquiries Series.  The session went really well and someone asked if I could do more of them, especially on Sundays.  Wish granted! I will be holding Tech Sunday classes on 10/27, 11/10 and 11/24. Then in January I will schedule more. Feel free to bring your lap tops, your phones or your tablets and meet me downstairs in the Library from 12-1.  You can eat in the Library so grab some coffee and snack from Fellowship Hall first.  I won't only be teaching people how to use Realm.  I will answer questions about Google Meet, Google Drive and anything else you want to know.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Cate

DUDE, WHERE'S MY RAMP?

Okay, let's talk about the ramp.  It has taken a long time, yes. We have failed all three city inspections, yes. However there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  The contractor and the architect met with Jerry and I on Tuesday and we have a few options on how this is going to get finished, and it will get finished. I want to make one thing very clear. The solutions below will come out of the contractor's pocket not ours. Our cost for the ramp and installation is unchanged.  The issue that still plagues us is the bottom plate the transitions the ramp to the sidewalk.  The entire ramp is at the 1:12 ratio but that plate is not. So we have a few options on how rectify the situation.  1) The architect asks the city for a variance on that one piece. ( we will not bein ADA compliance) 2) We extend the ramp another 48 inches. If you want to get an idea of how far out that is there is an orange dot on the sidewalk that you can look on Sunday.  Part two of that s...
